The Painted Prawn is covered in small longitudinal red and blue lines giving it a brownish appearane.
- Scientific Name: Alope spinifronsÂ
- Habitat: Found along the coast of New Zealand Found in amongst boulders and rockpools at low tide.Â
- Temperament: Peaceful
- Tank Age/Maturity: 100 litres minimum at least 6 months old
- Diet: Readily accept all foods; live and frozen pods, mysid shrimp, raw mussel, prawn
- Special Requirements: Will be eaten by larger fish, okay with seahorse and pipefish, Usually spend the day hiding so feed just after lights out.
